Position

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Trainee Sonographer based at University Hospital Ayr.

What You Will Do

We have an exciting opportunity for two trainee Sonographers to join our team. We have an exciting training opportunity in General Medical Ultrasound, once qualified you will be offered a permanent contract at B7. You will join our small friendly team to perform and report a range of ultrasound examinations. In support of our core purpose of Working together to achieve the healthiest life possible for everyone in Ayrshire and Arran we are committed to a culture that is Caring, Safe and Respectful. The post holder is required to work collaboratively in a safe, caring and respectful way. The General Ultrasound service extends over several sites: University Hospital Crosshouse, Ayrshire Central Hospital, University Hospital Ayr and East Ayrshire Community Hospital offering care closer to patient’s homes. Knowledge, Training And/or Experience Required To Do The Job

The applicant must hold a profession qualification and be registered with HCPC or professional equivalent and have relevant clinical experience. The applicant will be required to work flexible hours over a 7 day period (Monday to Sunday). The applicant would also be expected to take part in Public Holiday cover. A car/owner driver is essential as you will be expected to travel as required.
