Working within the Kirklees Public Health Improvement team, this role will contribute to the reduction of health inequalities and inspire health improvement by supporting strategic local and operational work areas. By understanding how the wider determinants of health (wider factors that impact on our health such as jobs, housing, food, transport, the environment and more) can affect health and wellbeing, and by using relevant skills and knowledge, this role will assist with the ambition for sustainable improved outcomes across the life course of the local population.
As part of the team, this role will support colleagues to evidence, influence, develop and deliver information, knowledge and resources for Council colleagues, local populations, and partner organisations. Working together with team members and with some self-reliance, this role will contribute to theshared outcomesof the Council, empowering residents and communities to live healthier independent lives for as long as possible through tackling inequalities and embracing inclusion and diversity.
