Job description

Job Title: Trainee Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner (TPWP)

Grade: £26,530 with progression to £29,114 (Band 4)

Hours of Work: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday including a minimum of one 12-8pm shift. Possibility of weekends in the future, depending on service needs.

Term: Permanent upon successful completion of course.

Location: Staffordshire Talking Therapies, various locations.

We have an exciting opportunity for 8 Trainee PWPs to join our services across Staffordshire. We have 3 vacancies in Cannock, 3 in Stafford, and 2 in Tamworth.

About the role

The programme is delivered jointly by Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust (BSMHFT) and the University of Birmingham (UoB). The post involves attending a minimum of 1 day of teaching, 1 day of self-directed study, and providing 3 days of clinical practice weekly, offering assessments and low-intensity treatments for common mental health issues like depression and anxiety. Support will be provided throughout your training.
