Job summary

Gleeds in the United Kingdom is inviting enthusiastic students to join a 12-month Year Out Placement in Project Management. From day one you'll be part of a project team supporting Project and Programme Managers on real construction projects, gaining hands-on experience and insight into how projects are planned, managed and delivered.

You'll develop your commercial, technical and client-facing skills, with mentoring from experienced professionals.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Confidence using Microsoft Office applications.
• A proactive attitude and willingness to take on new challenges.
• The ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
• The right to live and work in the UK.
• Be currently studying towards a degree in Project Management or another built environment discipline, with a 12‑month industrial placement forming part of your course.

Responsibilities

• Supporting Project and Programme Managers with the successful delivery of projects.
• Assisting with project administration and maintaining project documentation.
• Preparing reports, presentations and meeting minutes.
• Supporting contract administration activities where appropriate.
• Helping monitor project progress, risks and key deliverables.
• Assisting with financial and quantitative record keeping and checking project information.
• Contributing to client meetings and project reviews.
• Supporting business development activities and bid preparation where opportunities arise.
