About the Role:

Our client, a renowned innovator in ground investigation services, is seeking a talented and motivated individual to become their next Trainee Project Manager (Contracts). The Ideal Candidate:

  • Experience: At least 3 years of relevant construction/ground investigation experience
  • Skills: Working knowledge of ground investigation and heath & safety awareness is a must. Ability to coordinate and execute ground investigations, manage costs, and deliver projects on time and within budget. Strong communication skills internally and externally, punctual, reliable, and trustworthy.
  • Qualifications: BSc (MSc preferable), working towards Chartered Status (or plan to), SMSTS and CSCS Management qualifications desirable, Risk Assessment Appreciation Training.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and execute ground investigations.
  • Preparation and management of multiple site investigation projects from contract award through to financial closure.
  • Prepare and deliver factual reports in accordance with project milestone dates.
  • Preparation and delivery of construction phase plans incorporating RAMS.
  • Contribute expertise and provide input into the planning stage of new projects.
  • Ensure follow-up on payments for works completed.
  • Monitor costs in relation to individual contract works.
  • Prepare and deliver technical reports.
  • Assist the HSEQ Advisor in investigations into accidents and incidents.
  • Maintain effective communication with clients and directors.
  • Develop personal objectives and participate in professional growth opportunities.
  • Assist in the maintenance and improvement of Health and Safety, Quality, and Environmental accreditation.
  • Monitor contractual and assurance performance.
  • Ensure electronic access to all relevant projects is kept up to date.

Travel Requirements:

Predominantly office-based with occasional site meetings to assess progress and meet client representatives. Based out of Glasgow office.
