Where will you be working?

At M Group Energy, we’re enabling the energy essential to support our lives.

We provide an end-to-end service, delivering solutions in electricity transmission, distribution, renewable energy, EV, metering and home decarbonisation.

This role will be within our Electricity Transmission, who are responsible for managing projects delivered across the UK transmission network. We design, build and commission substations at voltages up to and including 400kV. Our teams construct and maintain transmission lines and substations, ensuring the efficient and reliable delivery of electricity.

What will you be doing?

  • Coordinate the execution of projects for the company on behalf of National Grid.
  • Ensure the effective integration and management of the project design and delivery process, including technical design, build, commercial, and programme management for projects.
  • Coordinate design teams through the client design verification and assurance process, to ensure contractual key dates are met.
  • Collaborate with the project manager and procurement team to ensure that proposed equipment meets the required specifications, ensuring that TQs are communicated and responded to promptly, and that programme dates for deliveries are met.
  • Support suppliers and subcontractors to meet M Group's and the client's expectations and specifications, arranging FATs and other meetings required for coordination
  • Coordinate project programme development with Site Managers and Project Planners, and ensure timely submission of programme updates to the client.
  • Prepare and submit project completion and handover documentation, including Health and Safety File information and Inspection Test Plans.
  • Coordinate drawing markups with Site Managers, and development of as-built drawings, and ensure submission to the client in line with contractual key dates.
  • Attend key project meetings
