Job Title: Trainee Project Controller

Location:

Warrington OR Bristol

Salary:

£36,000 per annum initially

Bonus Incentive:

£1000 after 6 months and £1000 after 12 months of deployment

Job Description:

Experis Academy offers an exciting opportunity for delivery-oriented individuals to become highly skilled Project Controllers in the clean energy, defence, and civil decommissioning sectors. This program trains and develops talent to support project controls across planning & scheduling, budgeting & cost control, cost estimating, and project performance reporting.

Ideal candidates will have active SC Clearance or be eligible to obtain it. Applicants should be commercially astute with strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills. This role is suitable for those looking to reskill or develop skills across multiple disciplines within project management.

Participants will receive comprehensive training in project, programme, and portfolio management (P3M), including soft skills such as negotiation, conflict resolution, facilitation, and emotional intelligence, through scenario-based workshops.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain project schedules and baseline budgets.
  • Develop and maintain the integrated project schedule.
  • Create accurate cost control reports and forecasts.
  • Develop robust cost estimates aligned with project scope and lifecycle.
  • Produce performance reports with analysis and narrative.
Candidate Attributes:
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to view problems from multiple perspectives.
  • Commitment to high quality and continuous learning.
  • Experience in a delivery environment within engineering, oil and gas, construction, logistics, manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, or related fields.
  • Willingness to undertake a comprehensive training program and gain valuable qualifications.
