Overview

Trainee Production Operative

Job purpose: To quality check the products as they come off the production line and ensure the finished products are packed and wrapped securely according to the Company's standards and requirements, then loaded on pallets and correctly labelled ready for shipping. To ensure safety, hygiene and quality procedures are adhered to at all times.

Responsibilities

• Quality check and identify any defective items before they are packed and shipped to customers.
• Ensure correct pack loading configuration.
• Make sure all documentation is filled in properly.
• Complete the required number of quality checks as per instructions.
• Any faults found should be rectified immediately. Inform the Shift Manager. Some production may need to be put on hold.
• Ensure all product is labelled accurately with correct product code and number of pallets in line with Company standards and any specific special instruction by the customer.
• Support Production Operators to maintain production on the machines to meet agreed standards of quality and output.
• Support both the Warehouse and Production function on site, as required.
• Ensure the product is stored in correct area and is processed efficiently on a daily basis.
• Comply with Company Health and Safety Policy.
• Maintain Hygiene and Quality Standards.
• Maintain housekeeping standards to the highest standards at all times. This should be ongoing throughout the shift.
• Be aware of day-to-day changes especially relative to the job which affects the efficiency.
• Attend relevant training as instructed from the Shift Manager.
• Work as a team with other members of staff to ensure efficient machine operation.
• Carry out any reasonable request from the Shift Manager.
