Job summary

Flat Fee Recruiter is seeking a Trainee Product Designer to support manufacturing and production teams. You will learn to produce manufacturing drawings, BOMs and CNC programmes while working with sheet metal, aluminium and assembly departments.

You will gain hands-on experience in CAD design, technical documentation and production processes, with training provided for CNC machinery. This entry-level role is based in Greater Manchester and offers permanent, full-time employment.

Qualifications

• Organised and detail-oriented with a willingness to learn.
• Comfortable with technical information and maintaining accurate records.
• Previous CAD design or manufacturing documentation experience is beneficial; training provided for CNC machinery.

Responsibilities

• Produce detailed production and GA drawings for shop-floor manufacturing and client approval.
• Create parts lists, BOMs, and part labels using AHN Macro tools.
• Prepare accurate documentation to support the manufacturing process.
• Generate CNC programmes for Amada Europe machinery and learn CNC programming.
• Track material availability and update trackers for production planning.
