Job summary

Acorn Web Offset Limited is seeking a Trainee Pre-Press Specialist to learn industry-leading software and workflows. You’ll check customer artwork, solve technical problems, and ensure everything is ready for the press. Full training will be provided, including Adobe Acrobat, Word, Outlook, Excel and pre-press systems.

Hours are average 39 per week with 12-hour shifts on days and nights; starting salary £26,500 per annum, with opportunities for progression as skills grow.

Qualifications

• No prior pre-press experience required; full training provided.
• Experience with computer skills and willingness to learn is valued.

Responsibilities

• Check customer artwork and files before printing.
• Identify and resolve technical issues with customer files.
• Work with Adobe Acrobat and pre-press workflows.
• Learn about colour matching and print processes.
• Communicate with customers and colleagues to resolve problems.
• Ensure work is produced accurately and to required quality.
• Collaborate with a supportive team and develop knowledge of printing.
