This is a trainee plumbing & gas trainer/assessor position for a qualified and experienced plumber. No previous teaching or assessing experience is required, as full training and support will be provided. The role involves training and assessing apprentice learners at various sites across the North East (Teesside to Tyneside).

Could you be interested in a plumbing & gas training/assessing position? I am currently working with a client looking for a Trainer/Assessor based in the North East (Teesside to Tyneside). The client is willing to support a qualified gas engineer/plumber with industry experience in becoming an assessor.

My client is a successful and well-established training provider specializing in building services apprentice training.

Package and Benefits:

• £35,000 to £36,000 Basic Salary + £5,000 Car Allowance (£40,000 to £41,000 Total Income)
• Full assessor training and qualification provided
• Company pension
• 34 Days Holiday
• 45p a Mile Mileage Allowance + Car Allowance

Essential Experience and Qualifications:

• You must be a fully qualified plumber with either an NVQ Level 3 or an equivalent full recognized apprenticeship
• You must hold gas certificates and have gas industry experience
• Driving license and use of a car
• A minimum of 5 years working in industry
• A keen interest in working in education

Job Responsibilities:

• Full-time hours, Monday to Friday
• Permanent contract
• Home-based work including office tasks and diary planning
• Training and assessing apprentice learners at various sites across the North East (Teesside to Tyneside)
• Supporting apprentices in building their NVQ portfolios
• Assessing apprentices' evidence and work in the workplace
• Working with employers to support successful apprentice training
