Position

Trainee Phlebotomist (Field Based – Various locations in Northern Ireland). Salary: £27,783 per year plus commission, overtime, expenses and benefits. If you join, you will be known internally as a Health Assessment Specialist and will join a passionate team delivering high-quality health assessments across your region!

Responsibilities, hours and the day-to-day of the role
  • You will be required to work 4 x 10‑hour shifts per week, totalling 40 hours per week. These hours can fall at any time between 6 am and 10 pm, Monday to Sunday, and will be allocated to you in advance.
  • You will be required to drive up to 2 hours to reach your venue of the day. Public transport may be required depending on venue type.
  • All venues meet our high‑quality standards.
  • You will plan your route, travel to the venue, unpack, setup kit and greet customers – you may see 15–22 customers in a day with appointments ranging 10–45 minutes.
  • You will perform various health assessments (PAD, ECG, Phlebotomy once qualified, Lung Function, Body Composition, short fitness tests) and provide advice on further testing where appropriate; you must also update and maintain administration records.
  • You will not be required to relay any results or further lifestyle advice after the assessments are complete.
Requirements – What we’d like to see from you
  • A full UK driving licence and access to a standard‑sized car.
  • Availability to work any day Monday–Sunday and any time 6 am–10 pm on a rota basis (6 am–4 pm, 8 am–6 pm, 1 pm–10 pm).
  • Capability to use computers/laptop/phone/tablet to a satisfactory degree.
  • Clear DBS (which we will process).
  • Ability to travel up to 2 hours from home and, occasionally, overnight stays.
  • Live within the correct distance of the regional location of the role.
  • Ability to attend our Milton Keynes head office for the first 2 weeks of training (Monday–Friday).
  • A real willingness to learn and take on new skills.
  • Enhanced criminal records check during onboarding.
  • All roles require a satisfactory criminal record check.
