Job summary

The Cohens Group is seeking a 12-hour Trainee Pharmacy Assistant to join our team at Yarm Medical Centre. You will work under the pharmacist's guidance to dispense and label prescriptions, assist with stock management, and deliver excellent customer service.

This role focuses on training for Counter Course and NVQ Level 2 in Dispensing, with opportunities for progression within our branch network. A customer-focused mindset and willingness to learn are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service and willingness to undertake training for Counter Course and NVQ Level 2.
• Accurate dispensing and labeling of prescription items under supervision.
• Stock ordering and management in the dispensary and shop.

11997 - 12 hour - Trainee Pharmacy Assistant Permanent Contract We are looking to recruit a 12-hour Trainee Pharmacy Assistant on a permanent contract to work at our 504 branch located at Yarm Medical Centre, 1 Worsall Road, Yarm, TS15 9DD. The proposed shift pattern is as follows: Monday 09:00 - 13:00 Friday 09:00 - 18:00 (1-hour unpaid lunch break) Whilst working in this branch you will gain excellent knowledge and skills which will contribute to you successfully gaining the recognised Counter Course and NVQ level 2 qualification in Dispensing. This position is ideally suited to someone with previous customer service experience and who is willing to undertake the relevant training courses in order to progress.

Duties will include the accurate dispensing and labelling of prescription items with guidance and supervision from the Pharmacist. The successful candidate will also be responsible for assisting with the ordering and management of stock levels within the dispensary and the shop. The utmost attention to detail is required in this role along with the ability to work under pressure and to strict deadlines, you will also have a desire to learn and progress your career in our business.

The successful candidate must have great people skills as this is paramount to your role. You will be required to work as part of a well-established team and ensure our customers receive a high standard of service.
