Role Description:

At AGS, we work in challenging and complex environments ranging from industrial complexes and power stations to rail infrastructure and transport networks. You will be delivering Pest Control to these interesting clients, in addition to more traditional customers in the retail and food sector.

Our ethos is Happy Staff, Happy Clients, Happy Days. We focus on delivering good service rather than KPIs and targets. We support you to achieve this by fostering problem-solving and customer service skills, not just meeting quotas.

We are committed to your professional growth, offering BPCA/RSPH accreditations, marksmanship training, and other specialist courses. You will also receive training to meet rigorous Health and Safety standards, especially when working on transport networks like London Underground. Excelling in training can lead to advancement opportunities within our fast-growing business.

The role can be physically demanding and requires initiative, effective time management, and a growth mindset. You will mostly work independently, with team support for larger projects. Our environment is friendly and relaxed, with management expecting commitment and honesty.

Key qualities and responsibilities:
  • Effective communication skills – verbal and written.
  • Understanding that service quality encompasses technical skills and positive human relationships.
  • Well-organized, with a preference for order.
  • Teamwork orientation, capable of handling large-scale projects.
  • Ability to share successful customer interactions and examples.
  • Deliver pest control inspections, infestations, and treatments to commercial and residential clients.
  • Respond to service requests within agreed SLAs.
  • Meet KPIs for quality, performance, and customer satisfaction.
  • Complete detailed reports using Android/PDA technology.
  • Perform pest treatments safely, following health and safety guidelines.
  • Inspect premises for pests and entry points, assessing risks.
  • Apply appropriate treatments and advise clients on pest management and risks.
  • Communicate advice to sales team and clients, highlighting hygiene issues and risks.
  • Clean and evidence of infestation, disposing of waste properly.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • At least 1 year of relevant work experience.
  • A full driving license is desirable; trainee foot technicians considered.
  • Interest and some knowledge of pest control.
  • Comfortable working in various conditions, including confined, damp, dusty, cold, or hot environments.
  • Good communication and proactive problem-solving skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities, able to work with limited supervision.
