Job summary

Rentokil Initial is seeking a Pest Control Technician to join our team covering Devon and Cornwall. No prior experience is required as comprehensive training is provided, and you will manage your own schedule by serving customers in person.

The role offers a competitive base salary (£27,669), potential OTE (£32,566), a company vehicle, fuel card, uniform, and RI Rewards. Full-time, 40 hours per week, with a path to higher hours and pay.

Qualifications

• GCSE Maths and English at level C (Grade 4) or above is advantageous.
• Experience in customer-facing roles is helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

• Inspect customer premises for signs of pests and identify risks.
• Tackle pest problems and clean/remove evidence of pest behaviour.
• Provide advice on maintenance and hygiene to customers.
• Complete accurate reports after every visit.

The Role

Your role as a Pest Control Technician will involve covering a dedicated geographical area and providing support to our customers by resolving their pest issues.

Key responsibilities include:

• Inspecting customer premises for signs of pests and identifying potential risks.
• Swiftly tackling pest problems by cleaning and removing evidence of pest behaviour.
• Offering valuable advice to customers on the maintenance and hygiene of their premises.
• Completing accurate reports after every visit.
• Providing exceptional customer service and upholding a professional image at all times.

• Full UK driving licence held for more than two years, with no more than six penalty points.
• Educated to GCSE (or equivalent) in Maths and English at level C (Grade 4) or above is advantageous.
• Demonstrate excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Flexibility with working patterns to support business needs.
• You may be required to pass a DBS check depending on the role you have applied for.
