Job Summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated, enthusiastic, and innovative individual to join RDASH Talking Therapies. We have 4 positions available within the NHS Talking Therapies service in the Rotherham, Doncaster, and Scunthorpe areas.

As a Trainee High Intensity Counselling for Depression Therapist, you will have the opportunity to learn and work alongside a team of highly skilled and diverse therapists.

Please note that this is not a remote-only post. You will be required to have a minimum of 2 days of face-to-face clinics during training and at least 3 days when qualified.

There will be a joint service and University of York St John interview during the week commencing 11th August 2025.

Role Details

In this role, you will provide High Intensity Counselling for Depression interventions while undertaking a training programme starting in October 2025 in collaboration with the University of York St John. The post is full-time, 37.5 hours per week.

The training introduces the core concepts of the PCE-CfD approach and its application within IAPT. It includes a 5-day training with practice opportunities, followed by supervised clinical work. There is a 1-year post-attendance period where assessment recordings must be submitted.

On successful completion of the course, you will work towards and maintain full accreditation with the BABCP.

This role is fixed-term for 12 months, with the potential to become a permanent Band 7 High Intensity Counselling post upon successful course completion.
