An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated, enthusiastic, and innovative individual to join RDASH Talking Therapies. We have 4 positions available within the NHS Talking Therapies service in the Rotherham, Doncaster, and Scunthorpe areas.
As a Trainee High Intensity Counselling for Depression Therapist, you will learn and work alongside a team of highly skilled and diverse therapists.
Please note that this is not a remote-only post. You will be required to have a minimum of 2 days face-to-face clinics during training and at least 3 days when qualified.
There will be a joint service and University of York St John interview during the week commencing 11th August 2025.
In this role, you will provide High Intensity Counselling for Depression interventions while undertaking a training programme starting in October 2025, in collaboration with the University of York St John. The post is full-time, 37.5 hours per week.
The training will introduce you to the core concepts of the PCE-CfD approach and its application within IAPT. It includes a 5-day training with practical skills practice, followed by supervised clinical work. A 1-year post-attendance assessment is required, with recordings submitted for review.
On successful completion of the course, you will work towards and maintain full accreditation with the BABCP.
This role is fixed-term for 12 months, with the potential to become a permanent Band 7 High Intensity Counselling post upon successful course completion.
