A well-known accountancy practice in Exeter is seeking a Trainee Part Qualified Account Technician. This permanent position offers hybrid working options and involves supporting the team while studying for the AAT qualification. The successful candidate will gain valuable work experience and develop key skills in accounting and taxation services.

Salary: A GBP 23,000 : A GBP 25,500 per annum, dependent on experience
Hawk 3 Talent Solutions, operating as an employment agency, are recruiting for a Trainee Part Qualified Account Technician to join our clients Accountancy practice within their Exeter branch to continue studying AAT qualification, ideally under an apprenticeship agreement but not essential.
Studying for Level 4 AAT includes learning the fundamentals of bookkeeping and accounting standards as well as personal and business tax.
The successful candidate must be minimum Level 3 qualified and coming from practice experience or an experienced bookkeeper looking to get into accounts preparation might be considered.
The Role
Gaining work experience supporting the rest of the team alongside studying
Providing a range of accounting and taxation services to clients
Prepare financial information, reports and returns for a wide range of clients : both business and individuals
Using computer software to records financial transactions
Prepare and provide personal and company tax computations, regular VAT returns and bookkeeping services
Help with information gathering to analyse and report information about income and expenditure to support decision making

Methodical and numerical
Able to multitask well
Good working knowledge of Word and Excel
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proven accuracy and eye for detail
Strong track record in obtaining qualification
