Job description

Trainee Paraplanner - Wokingham

Our client is seeking a Trainee Paraplanner to join their team in Wokingham.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Review and quality check Private Client fact finds to ensure information supports fund and product research for report drafting.
  2. Develop holistic financial planning advice based on client information, drafting recommendation reports for sign-off by the Adviser.
  3. Gather all documentation supporting recommendations.
  4. Meet individual targets for productivity and quality.
  5. Update internal systems with case progress and support tracking of new business receipt.
  6. Maintain record keeping on back office systems, ensuring timely import or scanning of documents.
  7. Liaise with Business Support staff for administrative support at pre-sales stages.
Experience and Skills:
  1. Planning & Organising
  2. Resilience
  3. Technical Knowledge
  4. Strong analytical and evaluation skills
  5. Knowledge of financial planning, pensions, investments, wealth management, life assurance, tax matters, and corporate financial advice
  6. Proficiency in Excel and Word
  7. Minimum 2 years' experience in a sales support role, with aspiration to progress to Trainee Paraplanner
  8. Experience in an IFA firm is essential
  9. Working towards Diploma Level 4 in Financial Planning

Completion of a full Diploma in Financial Planning is required to advance into a full Paraplanner role.
