Everyone who works here understands that our Residents are people just like them with their own stories to tell. By joining HC‑One you will have a wonderful opportunity to give something back to those people. For you that will mean making sure our residents’ care planning arrangements are delivered impeccably. We want to offer our residents a sense of choice and independence and you will be the person to ensure we do. Whether you are taking up a nursing task delegated to you, reporting an accident or spending time with someone showing symptoms of dementia, you will always keep resident wellbeing in mind above anything else.

This role will assist in tasks such as administering medicines, caring for wounds, catheter care and other direct clinical tasks, under the supervision and guidance of the qualified nurse.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in Health & Social Care where you have been a Senior Carer or a similar position with leadership responsibilities, especially around administering medicines and leading a shift
  • Knowledge and understanding of the person‑led care planning process and the relevant legislative and regulatory requirements. Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility and therefore it is important that you are able to recognise the signs which may indicate possible abuse, harm or neglect in its different forms and know what to do if there are any concerns. All colleagues are required to attend safeguarding training appropriate to their role and to undertake additional training in associated areas. You also have the ability to seek appropriate advice and report concerns, including escalation if action is not taken

£14.30 to £14.65 per hour. All Locations: Morriston. Home/Department: St Martins Court. All Departments: Carer. Job Family: Care.
