We are looking for a Trainee Necropsy Scientist based in Harrogate, North Yorkshire, primarily working within our Necropsy department.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  1. Performing routine macroscopic necropsy techniques across various species
  2. Trimming and retaining all organs from all species
  3. Performing caesarean necropsy techniques
  4. Conducting external and visceral fetal examinations
  5. Handling non-routine tasks such as tissue freezing
  6. Preparing reagents and processing samples for skeletal examinations
  7. Carrying out animal handling and euthanasia procedures in compliance with legal standards
  8. Routine analysis of sperm and operation of computer-aided sperm analysis systems

There may be opportunities to cross-train in other related departments, including histology.
