Job summary

BUUK Infrastructure, through its GTC division, seeks a Trainee Multi Utility Team Assistant to support the installation of gas, water and electrical infrastructure both on and off site in Scotland. You will help follow safety procedures and contribute to quality delivery while learning core utility installation tasks.

Responsibilities

• Assist with installation and commissioning of gas, water and electrical infrastructure.
• Operate safely with PPE and follow method statements and safety instructions.
• Receive and inspect deliveries; ensure fitness for purpose before use.
• Maintain vehicles and equipment; report defects to Construction Manager.
• Follow site risk assessments and maintain a safe working environment.
• Attend toolbox talks and required training courses."
• Record work details accurately and timely.
• Perform additional duties as directed by the Construction Manager.

GTC, part of the BUUK Infrastructure Group, are looking for Trainee Multi Utility Team Assistant who would like to help us reach our mission to “earn customer loyalty and drive business growth by providing consistently excellent service”.

Purpose of this role

Assisting in the installation of Gas, Water & Electrical Infrastructure (On and Off Site Works).

Your Key Responsibilities Are

• Work safely at all times wearing relevant PPE that is supplied.
• Assisting with the installation and commission of gas, water and electrical infrastructure as instructed, ensuring that all work is undertaken to a high standard of safety and technical quality by following all appropriate generic and specific method statements, work procedures and safety instructions.
• Accept delivery of plant and materials and check fitness for purpose prior to use.
• Ensure vehicles, plant and equipment remain in good condition, and report any defects to the Construction Manager.
• Work to site specific risk assessments completed by the Team Leader on a daily basis and ensure maintenance of a safe working environment.
• Attend Toolbox Talks And Other Training Courses As Required.
• Record accurately details of work undertaken.
• Any other duties as deemed appropriate by the Construction Manager that fall within the general experience scope of the individual.

Qualifications

• SHEA Gas, Water or Electric.

Experience/Knowledge

• Identify & Understand Utility Plans.
• Knowledge of Health & Safety Legislation.

Abilities/Skills

• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Good attention to detail.
• Confident in using IT Equipment.

Conditions of Employment
