We are currently looking to recruit a Trainee Multi Utility Sales Executive to work within our Sales/Design Department dealing with operational administration duties to aid the success of the business.
Duties include:
- Developing customer relationships and increasing sales within the business.
- Supporting the Business Development Managers with devising and executing our sales & marketing plans/tactics to expand the MU business year on year.
- Assessment & clarification of customer requirements.
- Ensuring all Harlaxton Engineering Services procedures are followed.
- Assisting in collating all necessary scheme information and producing pre-tender design risk assessments.
- Recording all plans and documents within the internal systems and ensuring current versions are always used.
- Assisting the design team in producing scheme designs based on the actual sale requirements.
- Advising the Business Development Director/Managers of progress on projects through the design/tendering phase and managing the transition of projects to handover with Operations.
- Producing accurate, quality, clear & concise quotations to the customer based on their requirements and honest assumptions.
- General administrative duties such as processing and management of paperwork.
- Supporting the Business Development Managers in ensuring that all Health & Safety and environmental legislation is adhered to.
- Carrying out any other duties as required by the Business Development Director & wider Harlaxton Engineering Services management team.
- Acting in the best interests of the company at all times to promote and expand the business while providing the highest customer service and satisfaction.
- Providing weekly reports on visits, sales activity, leads, quotations submitted, along with orders received.
- Being flexible in approach and developing new ideas/methods for the business to constantly evolve.
The successful candidate will ideally:
- Have previous sales and administration experience.
- Have strong interpersonal skills and be comfortable liaising with external and internal clients and business partners.
- Be confident to use your own initiative.
- Be happy to work independently or in a team environment.
- Have good knowledge of Microsoft software – Excel, Word, Outlook.
- Have good attention to detail and be able to follow procedures.
- Have a ‘can do’ approach and enjoy problem-solving.
- Be conscientious with strong customer service skills.
The salary for this position is negotiable depending on experience. Other benefits include pension, private healthcare, and free parking.
Hours are Mon-Friday 8:30 – 5:00 although some flexibility can be offered with hours.
