Overview

We are currently working with an ambitious Insurance company/MGA, who now have an exciting opportunity for someone to join their claims team in their Romford office as a Trainee Motor Personal Injury Claims Handler.

Responsibilities
  • Manage Motor (Personal Injury) Claims from first notification of loss through to settlement through the relevant portals.
  • Negotiate claims through to settlement and regularly communicate with brokers, solicitors and adjusters; update relevant stakeholders on the status of claims and instruct lawyers when necessary.
  • Support internal and external audit processes; liaise with underwriters on key claims issues; act as the go-to person for support and queries for Motor Claims.
  • Handle a claims portfolio, with 90% of cases being injury claims on the OIC portal and typically around £5k.
Candidate Profile / Qualifications
  • Ideal candidates will have previous experience handling Motor claims from cradle to grave with a strong understanding of third party property damage, indemnity and liability.
  • Must be a great team player with an upbeat personality, adaptable and able to react positively to change.
