Job description

Have you recently taken and passed your CeMAP qualifications and are now looking for your first mortgage Advisor role? If so we have a superb opportunity here for you.

Our client are a growing mortgage advisors and can provide you with state of the art training from day 1 to kickstart your mortgage career.

Please note you must already have your full CeMAP qualification to apply. You will ideally also have previous mortgage processing experience, ideally within a brokerage setting, though this is not essential like the CeMAP qualification. You will also need to drive, and be no further than 30 minutes away from the office.

Based in Altrincham Business Park, as a Trainee Adviser, you will be integral to the smooth operation of the underwriting process working on first charge mortgages. You will be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with lenders and customers, ensuring accuracy in document processing, and meeting set KPIs. The role requires a detail-oriented, proactive individual who is able to support the team while striving for excellence in every task.

Your key responsibilities will be:-

Lender & Customer Relationships:

  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with lenders to understand their processes, timelines, and to challenge decisions where appropriate.
  • Build trust and rapport with customers to enhance their experience and satisfaction.

Underwriting Process Support:

  • Assist with underwriting tasks, including chasing valuations, liaising with lenders, and ensuring all documents are processed efficiently and accurately.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of underwriting criteria and procedures.

Task & Email Management:

  • Effectively manage and action daily tasks, ensuring timely responses to emails and queries.
  • Meet set KPI targets consistently and contribute to the overall success of the team.

Accuracy & Record Keeping:

  • Ensure a high level of accuracy in all data entry and document management.
  • Maintain up-to-date and accurate records in line with company procedures.

Exceed Expectations:

  • Take initiative to go the extra mile in supporting team and client needs.
  • Continuously strive to improve efficiency and performance.

Salary & Benefits on offer:

  • £25-30k basic starting salary
  • Salary Progression: Up to £35,000 within 12-24 months, subject to satisfactory completion of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

As above you must hold a full CeMAP qualification or an equivalent CII Level 3 Certificate in Mortgage Advice.
