Job summary

CBSbutler is recruiting a Trainee Medical Field Service Engineer to join a growing healthcare engineering business in the North West of England. You will be field based, installing, servicing and repairing specialist hospital equipment, with full training provided to develop specialist skills and a long-term career.

The role involves regular travel across the North West and Scotland, with overnight stays and a 39-hour week.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with electrical or electromechanical equipment.
• Good troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication skills and confidence when dealing with customers.
• Full UK driving license is required.

Responsibilities

• Install and commission medical equipment and systems.
• Perform routine servicing, maintenance and repairs.
• Assist with electrical and mechanical fault-finding.
• Demonstrate equipment to customers and explain operation.
• Build strong relationships with hospital staff and customers.
• Complete service reports and maintain accurate records.
• Work with experienced engineers to develop technical knowledge.
