A growing manufacturing company in Eastleigh is seeking Trainee Mechanical Fitters to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in mechanical fitting with the potential for long-term work. The ideal candidates will have some mechanical knowledge and a willingness to learn. Full training and supervision will be provided.

Job Title: Trainee Mechanical Fitter
Location: Eastleigh
Pay Rate: £13.50 - £15.00 per hour (PAYE)
Temp to perm – Monday to Friday

We are currently seeking Trainee Mechanical Fitters to join a busy and growing manufacturing company based in Eastleigh. This is an excellent opportunity to gain valuable hands-on experience in a supportive environment with the potential for long-term work.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assisting in the mechanical fitting of various products
• Learning to work from engineering drawings
• Using hand tools and equipment safely
• Supporting the team in meeting tight tolerances and quality standards

Requirements:

• Some basic mechanical knowledge or relevant qualifications (e.g., college course, apprenticeship, or hands-on experience)
• (example) HNC / HND / NVQ / City and guilds / BTEC – Mechanical
• Willingness to learn and develop mechanical fitting skills
• Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
• A good work ethic and attention to detail

Additional Information:

• Overtime available, paid at enhanced rates (time and a half after 8 hours/day, Saturdays at time and a half, Sundays at double time)
• Full training and supervision provided
