Job summary

Ernest Gordon Recruitment Limited in Bristol is partnering with a well-established Southwest dealer network to recruit a Trainee Mechanic (NVQ Level 2).

You will perform general service and maintenance, diagnostics, road tests and assist with MOT preparation. Full training is provided on the job and via external courses, with clear progression toward becoming a fully qualified Technician.

Trainee Mechanic (NVQ Level 2)

£25,000 - £30,000 + £5k Bonus + Funded Qualifications + Training + Progression

Are you a Trainee Mechanic, holding an NVQ Level 2 or above in vehicle maintenance or similar, looking for clear progression routes to become a fully qualified Technician?

In this role, you will be responsible for performing general service and maintenance duties, alongside diagnostics, troubleshooting and vehicle repair. You will also carry out road tests when required, alongside assisting with MOT preparation duties, liaising closely with the service advisor team to ensure a smooth process.

This role would suit a Trainee Mechanic holding an NVQ Level 2 or above within vehicle maintenance or related. You will be looking to kickstart your career, with the flexibility to work occasional Saturdays on a rota basis.

The Role:

• General service and maintenance
• Diagnostics, troubleshooting and vehicle repair
• Road tests when required, assisting with MOT preparation
• Full training provided through on the job shadowing and external courses
• Monday-Friday: 8:30am-5:00pm, Saturday: 8:30am-12:30pm on a rota
