  • Prepare monthly P&L accounts for school catering contracts.
  • Reconcile sales across different systems.
  • Provide transaction reports and analysis for senior managers.
  • Support financial planning, budgeting, and cost analysis activities.
  • Assist with ad hoc finance projects as required.

Trainee Management Accountant
Location: Nottingham
Hours: 37.5 per week, Monday to Friday (08:30 - 17:00)
Salary: £25,000 - £29,000 per annum
We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Trainee Management Accountant to join our finance team in Nottingham. This is a great opportunity to develop your skills in a fast-paced and supportive environment, working closely with both finance and operational colleagues.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Support operational managers in tracking spending and monitoring financial performance.
  • Analyse and report on financial results across a variety of business areas.
  • Assist with preparation and posting of journals as part of monthly accounts.
  • Prepare monthly P&L accounts for school catering contracts.
  • Reconcile sales across different systems (D365 and Daboom).
  • Provide transaction reports and analysis for senior managers.
  • Support financial planning, budgeting, and cost analysis activities.
  • Take ownership of personal development and stay up to date with finance systems.
  • Assist with ad hoc finance projects as required.
