Are you a motivated finance professional looking to grow your experience in a dynamic and supportive environment?

We are currently recruiting for an Assistant Accountant to support the Management Accountant in delivering accurate and timely financial reporting across a group of companies for a growing company on the outskirts of Brentwood.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a solid foundation in finance who is keen to broaden their skills and take the next step in their career.

This role also offers hybrid working.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate financial records, including cash and bank transactions, reconciliations, and balance sheets.
  • Manage purchase ledger processes, ensuring invoices and payments are processed promptly and supplier queries are handled efficiently.
  • Prepare and reconcile month-end journals, including prepayments and accruals.
  • Administer and reconcile company credit card transactions.
  • Support with additional finance-related duties as required by management.
About You:
  • Previous experience in a finance or accounting environment.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to juggle multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
  • Ideally studying towards a professional accountancy qualification (e.g., AAT, ACCA, CIMA), though this is not essential.
