Trainee Mammographer/Mammographer - Breast Imaging

Would you like to join our friendly, multi-disciplinary Breast team at Warrington and Halton Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust?

We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic radiographer who either holds a UK regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF) level 7 postgraduate qualification in Mammography, or has a willingness to complete the Post- Graduate Award in Breast Imaging, for which you will be fully supported.

Our clinical breast service is based at The Breast Care Centre within the Captain Sir Tom Moore Building at Halton Hospital in Runcorn. This role is primarily clinically based where you will undertake a range of mammographic procedures as part of the NHS Breast Screening Programme and our Symptomatic Breast Service.

Part-time hours will be considered.

Main duties of the job

The successful candidate will work as part of our highly skilled team and be actively involved in producing high quality, diagnostic mammography examinations for the NHS Breast Screening Programme and our Symptomatic Breast Service.

You will contribute to our family history, breast cancer follow-up and screening assessment clinics. You will perform additional imaging including, magnification views and digital breast tomosynthesis, also assisting our Advanced Practitioners and Radiologists with stereotactic interventional breast procedures.

Rotation between our 3 static screening/symptomatic sites to include The Breast Care Centre at Halton Hospital, St Helen's Hospital (Burney Breast Unit) and Bath Street Health and wellbeing Centre. We also have a brand-new, state of the art mobile breast screening unit which visits 5 sites within the 4 boroughs that our screening service covers.

Access to transport will be required.
