Position Overview

This role will be working in a dedicated team in our factory. On the job training will be given and the successful candidate will be expected to gain a mechanical understanding of machine operation across a number of production machine tools.

Key Responsibilities
  • The ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
  • Aptitude to train in the setting up and operating machine tools.
  • Measure, examine, and test completed components to detect defects and ensure conformance to specifications using precision instruments such as micrometres and callipers.
  • Maintaining accurate records of job orders, processes, and productivity reports.
  • Monitor the feed and speed of machines during the machining process.
  • Maintain a safe and clean workspace and adhere to all safety protocols and procedures.
Desired Skills & Experience:
  • Experience with manufacturing.
  • Familiar with common inspection equipment would be an advantage.
  • Ability to manage relationships.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills with the ability to manage a number of different projects/tasks at any one time.
  • Highly motivated, with a pro-active approach to workload.
  • Confident and determined approach.
  • Methodical and accurate with a good attention to detail.
  • Happy to at times work to strictly deadlines and able to plan work according to timescales.
  • Happy at times to work overtime.
  • Can work alone and use initiative but also a team player who can help and support others.
  • Full Clean Driving License.
