Job Title: Trainee Machine Operator

Location: Wigan (WN6)

Salary: £12.64 per hour

Shifts: Monday - Friday, 07:00 - 15:00

Contract: Temporary - Permanent

About the Company

Our client is a medium-sized, family-run business with over 30 years of experience supplying high-quality metals. They are looking to recruit a Trainee Machine Operator to be mentored by an experienced team in various skills, including:

Warehouse duties in a steel stockholding business
Using band and circular saws
Operating CNC milling machines
Metal finishing
Assisting with packing customer orders
Loading and unloading vehicles
Checking and measuring stock
Stock control
Performing quality checks
Learning to operate overhead cranes and slings
Learning to drive forklifts and side loaders

Candidate Requirements

A desire to learn and develop new skills
Good understanding of mathematics and figures
Hardworking with a strong work ethic
Physically fit due to the nature of the role and some heavy lifting
Good communication skills, both written and verbal
