Holt Engineering in Wareham is seeking a Trainee Machine Operator to join a well-established manufacturing site. This role offers full training on specialist machinery and a clear path to develop your production skills in a modern environment.

You will work with a supportive team, learn to operate and monitor machinery, and contribute to daily targets while maintaining high quality. Starting pay is £12.71 per hour with ongoing training and long-term opportunities.

The Role:

• Operating and monitoring production machinery to manufacture products to the required specification.
• Loading materials and components into machinery and ensuring production runs smoothly.
• Carrying out quality checks throughout the manufacturing process.
• Following detailed work instructions and production procedures.
• Identifying and reporting any faults, defects or issues with machinery or products.
• Maintaining a clean, organised and safe working environment.
• Working as part of a team to achieve daily production targets.
• Receiving full training to become competent in operating specialist manufacturing machinery.

The Ideal Candidate:

• Previous experience within a production, manufacturing, assembly or machine operating environment would be advantageous.
• A practical and hands‑on approach to work.
• Good attention to detail and the ability to follow detailed instructions.
• Comfortable working with machinery and learning new processes.
• Reliable, punctual and keen to develop new skills.
• Previous electronics or engineering experience would be beneficial but is not essential, as full training will be provided.
