Are you ready for an outdoor, hands-on career that protects some of the UK's most important structures? We are looking for enthusiastic Trainee Lightning Protection Installers to join our specialist team. This is a unique opportunity to learn a vital trade in a highly regulated industry.

What You'll Be Doing:

As a Trainee, you'll work alongside experienced engineers to install and upgrade lightning protection and earthing systems on tall structures, including high-rise offices and industrial chimneys. This role involves working outdoors and at heights in all weather conditions, using scaffolding, work platforms, and light equipment. You'll assist in following pre-designed schemes, completing accurate paperwork, and communicating with clients and project managers, all while adhering to safety standards like BS EN 62305.

What We're Looking For:

We seek individuals prepared for a dynamic role at heights in the Edinburgh area. A Valid Full UK Driving License is essential due to travel requirements. Previous experience in Ground Works, Roofing, or Electrical trades is preferred. Your safety commitment and eagerness to learn are vital for success.

This role offers entry into a niche industry with excellent career progression. You will undergo comprehensive adult learner training (OSAT), leading to an NVQ qualification covering Lightning Protection Standards, Working Regulations, Safe Use of Tools and Ladders, and Working at Height Awareness. Additionally, you will gain certifications such as IPAF, PASMA, and SSSTS, enhancing your skills for a rewarding career.

During training, you'll earn the National Minimum Wage based on your age (£12.21 for 21+ and £10 for 18-20). We offer structured pay increases as you gain experience and qualifications.
