Orona UK, a leader in vertical transportation, invites Mechanical or Electrical Engineers for the Cardiff area to join its Transferable Skills Programme. You’ll be trained by experienced Lift Engineers and enrolled in an NVQ level 3 course in Installation or Maintenance, depending on progress.

Starting from a practical learning path, you will gain skills to operate as an independent Lift Engineer, with safety training and clear progression within a nationwide service network while developing

Qualifications

• Mechanical or Electrical background demonstrated either through Education or through recent work experience.
• Level 2 Foundation Course in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or Level 2 Performing Engineering Operations or BTEC Level 3 Diploma in relevant field.
• Follow instructions and safety guidelines at all times.
• Willingness to develop and learn new skills.
• Clean UK driving licence.

Job Description

At ORONA, we are global leaders in the design, manufacture, installation, maintenance and modernisation of lifts, escalators, moving ramps and walkways. The Role

We have an opportunity for candidates with Mechanical/Electrical Engineering backgrounds to join our growing organisation. We are looking for Mechanical or Electrical Engineers for our Cardiff area, who are looking for the first or next step in their career, Orona's Transferable Skills Programme will help you to gain the knowledge and experience to work as an independent Lift Engineer.

You will be trained by our experienced Lift Engineers and Technical Department to learn and understand the company and requirements of our industry. Depending on your learning progress, you will then be enrolled for the NVQ level 3 course within either the Installation or Maintenance of Lifts.

What We’re Looking For

• Mechanical or Electrical background demonstrated either through Education or through recent work experience
• Ideally possess one of the following
• Level 2 Foundation Course in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering,
• Level 2 Performing Engineering Operations
• BTEC Level 3 Diploma in Electrical, Electronic, Mechanical Engineering
• The ability to follow instructions and ensuring safety guidelines are followed at all time
• Demonstrate a willingness to develop and learn new skills.
• Clean UK driving licence.
