Role Overview

As a Trainee Lettings Negotiator, you will work closely with our experienced lettings team to support the end-to-end rental process—from listing and marketing properties to arranging viewings, liaising with landlords and tenants, and helping finalize tenancy agreements. You’ll receive one-to-one mentorship, in-house training, and ongoing support to build a solid foundation in the property sector.

Key Responsibilities

  • Client Interaction: Assist in registering prospective tenants, qualifying their requirements, and matching them with suitable properties.
  • Viewings: Accompany prospective tenants on property viewings, helping them understand the features and benefits of each property.
  • Tenant Support: Guide tenants through the lettings process, from application to move-in, ensuring a smooth and professional experience.
  • Landlord Communication: Assist in maintaining regular communication with landlords, updating them on market conditions, feedback, and viewings.
  • Marketing Support: Help prepare property listings including taking photographs, writing descriptions, and uploading content to major property portals.
  • Administration: Support the preparation of tenancy agreements, referencing paperwork, and compliance documentation.
  • Property Management Support: Assist in coordinating maintenance, repairs, and inspections with contractors and tenants.
  • Market Awareness: Conduct research into the local rental market, pricing trends, and competitor activity to support lettings strategy.
  • Compliance: Learn and apply the legal and regulatory requirements relating to lettings and property management.

What We’re Looking For

  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (preferred but not essential, depending on location).

Desirable (but Not Essential)

  • Previous experience in a customer service, sales, or administrative role.
  • Familiarity with lettings legislation or property management practices.
  • Knowledge of the local property market.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM/property software platforms.
