Trainee Lecturer / Lecturer in Physics

An exciting opportunity has arisen at Halesowen College for a Trainee Lecturer / Lecturer in Physics. In this role you will work towards and then deliver effective learning, teaching and assessment that provides a high-quality learner experience to enthusiastic students who are passionate about the subject. You have the potential to deliver exciting Physics-based topics such as Atomic Structure and Radioactivity, Thermodynamics, and student-led Physics projects across our vocational Science programmes. Working within teams delivering programmes of study within various curriculum areas ensures that knowledge, skills, and behaviours of learners enable them to be ready for employment or higher-level studies. An enthusiasm for the subject and a drive to encourage students to progress within Science or a related discipline is essential.


The College is committed to safeguarding children and vulnerable adults and will undertake an Enhanced DBS, safer recruitment vetting, and online checks for all successful candidates. Successful candidates will get the opportunity to attain a professional teaching qualification as part of the role; this will include continuous professional development.
