Support Student Progress While Preparing for Teacher Training

Location: Greater Manchester
Start Date: September 2025
Pay: £89–£95 per day
Contract: Full-time, term-time only

Are you a graduate in English, Maths or Science? Are you passionate about your subject and eager to make a difference in young people’s lives?

Teaching Personnel’s Graduate Pathway offers an exciting route into teaching through a Trainee Learning Support Assistant role. You’ll work in one of our partner secondary schools supporting student attainment and building the foundations for your future in education.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver targeted 1:1 or small group interventions in your subject specialism

  • Support pupils with SEN or low attainment in mainstream classroom settings

  • Collaborate with teachers to monitor and review academic progress

  • Act as a role model and mentor, promoting a love for learning

Ideal Candidate:

  • A graduate with a strong academic background in English, Maths, or Science

  • An empathetic and patient communicator

  • Someone who thrives when working with young people and understands the challenges some students face
