Job summary

Propelis in Witham is seeking a Trainee Production Operative to join our production team. No prior large-format printing experience is required; full training will cover Vutek hybrid printers, print production processes, quality standards, and equipment maintenance.

You will learn to operate equipment, process files to print, handle substrates, and maintain high standards while following safety and production procedures. A motivated, reliable individual with good teamwork will thrive here.

Qualifications

• Reliable commute to Witham production facility.
• Willingness to work a day shift with potential future rotating double-day shifts.
• Basic technical aptitude and an interest in machinery or manufacturing.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Previous print industry experience is not essential; training provided.

Responsibilities

• Learn to operate large format Vutek hybrid printing equipment.
• Process files through to print production.
• Load and handle a variety of print substrates.
• Monitor print quality and ensure work meets standards.
• Assist with routine maintenance of printing equipment.
• Follow production schedules and work instructions accurately.
• Comply with health, safety, quality, and operational procedures.
• Maintain a clean, organised, and efficient work area.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure smooth production operations.
• Contribute ideas to help improve processes and outcomes.
