The Role

At Via, we care about helping people overcome substance misuse and we feel that employment goes hand in hand with recovery. Our award-winning IPS Into Work teams support people to find meaningful employment that aligns with their ambitions so that they have a platform to build a brighter future.

You will have an opportunity to learn, train and develop as an IPS Employment Specialist and join the wider team in Surrey to provide a holistic employment support service to people across the geographical area.

The role is extremely rewarding, and you can make a lasting positive impact! A normal week will be:

  • Working closely with the team, carry a small caseload to support people to help them achieve their dreams through personalised employment support.
  • Collaborating and contributing with wider teams including recovery practitioners, nurses, support workers and community organisations to encourage referrals.
  • Learning effective employer engagement strategies to have quality contacts with a range of employers.

We require a passion to help others and a desire to contribute back to the community. This is an entry-level role and you will be given training to support your transition into the workplace.

The Service

Individual Placement and Support (IPS) is an evidence-based employment support model that helps individuals with a background of substance misuse find work that aligns with their wellbeing.

Location

You will work in Surrey across multiple locations including i-access, Laurel House, Farnham Rd, Guildford GU2 7LX, with a willingness travel as required.

There will also be remote working and working in the communities. All reasonable travel expenses will be reimbursed, and having a car will be advantageous.

There may be occasions where you will be required to work across different locations within Surrey to support the team. In addition, attendance at a wider team meeting in London will be required once a month.
