Job description

Job Description

As an Install Engineer at Record, you will form part of a well-established dynamic team,contributing to the installation of cutting-edge automatic door systems and aluminium shopfronts,ensuring high-quality service to our commercial and industrial clients.

After a period of training on our product range you will be expected to have knowledge of installing automatic door systems and aluminium shopfronts, working with a team or independently.

You will install automatic door systems and aluminium shopfronts at customer premises and active construction sites, working both independently and as part of a team. You will liaise daily with theProject Manager and Installation Planner to schedule work and ensure timely completion of projects, submitting all required paperwork promptly.

Working from the closest hub you will be expected to travel across the surrounding areas, with the possibility of occasional weekend working too.

You will contribute to our ISO Business Management systems.

Pathway to becoming a fully qualified automatic door engineer


1. Trainee program:

On the job training: Gain hands on experience in maintenance, repair and faultfinding on automatic doors.
Job related qualifications: Complete EN16005, Basic Electrical and UKPIA/SPAcourses.
Training room learning: Attend regional hubs to train on sliding, swing and foldingdoorsets.
Regular assessments: Work through a skills matrix to track progress and ensurecompetency in required skills.


2. Achieving Level 2 NVQ:

Completion of trainee program: Once at the required experience/skill level, you willbe enrolled into the NVQ and ready for assessment.
Assessment and certification: Pass the assessments to earn a Level 2 NVQ in power-operated automatic doors and skilled worker CSCS card.
