About the company:

Crosby Composites (established in 1982) is the number one composite manufacturer in the UK, excelling in the design and manufacture of high-quality carbon fibre parts. Our global customers include Formula 1, motorsport, and primarily automotive sectors, creating components and bodywork for some of the most prestigious and innovative hypercars in the world. Our services encompass conceptual design, bespoke tooling, and manufacturing, supported by in-house state-of-the-art spray painting, kit cutting, and multiple large autoclaves.

Purpose of the job:

The Inspector is responsible for ensuring all parts are fully inspected and meet customer-specific quality standards before dispatch. Training will be provided in all inspection processes to support this role.

Key Responsibilities:

You will be trained in the following areas:

  1. Operational Responsibilities
  2. Using a Romer Arm and PowerInspect for measurements.
  3. Inspecting parts to ensure they meet customer requirements at various stages, including prior to dispatch.
  4. Communicating all non-conformances to relevant personnel.
  5. Recording non-conformances in the internal quality management database.
  6. Ensuring the inspection department complies with the quality management system and company procedures.
  7. Focusing on the cosmetic appearance of panels during inspections.
  8. Maintaining and calibrating measuring equipment regularly.
  9. Keeping a clean and organized working environment.
Skills:
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong communication and written skills.
  • Ability to meet targets within specified timeframes.
  • Good knowledge of common computer applications.
  • Constant awareness of health and safety protocols.
