Job description

Join to apply for the Trainee HR Advisor role at Update Tecnologia LTDA.

Salary: £24,640 - £26,896 per annum. Benefits include 24 days of annual leave (excluding bank holidays and Christmas closure), increasing to 30 days after 5 years of service.

Location: Newcastle College site. Hours: Full-time, 37 hours per week.

Newcastle and Stafford Colleges Group (NSCG) is one of the top colleges in the country, achieving outstanding grades in consecutive Ofsted inspections as of October 2024. The group serves over 6,500 full-time students, 2,000 adult learners, and around 1,500 apprentices working with over 850 employers.

We seek an enthusiastic, qualified individual with relevant experience to support the HR office's daily operations. Responsibilities include providing HR advice, supporting casework and CPD activities, and administering recruitment and induction processes. You will also manage data entry for HR systems, payroll, absence management, and staffing statistics.

Key Duties:

  • Provide HR advice to staff and managers.
  • Support casework and absence management under the guidance of the HR leadership.
  • Participate in training and professional development to stay current with best practices.
  • Assist in planning CPD activities for staff performance improvement.
  • Maintain and update HR databases and staffing records.
  • Administer recruitment, vetting procedures, and record-keeping.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Level 3 qualification or equivalent in a relevant field.
  • Experience in a busy administrative environment.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Willingness to work towards CIPD qualifications.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to work under pressure.
  • Experience with database management and record-keeping.
