An established industry player is seeking a trainee Hire Desk Controller for their Exeter branch. We are looking for a trainee Hire Desk Controller to join our team at our Exeter Branch.
Responsibilities include
• Dealing with telephone enquiries, receiving and processing quotations for hire and sale orders and collection requests.
• Liaising with yard staff and checkingavailability and utilisation of stock.
• Ensuring accuracy of all paperwork and all procedures for Hire contracts, purchase orders, stock transfers are adhered to.
• Assist with the planning of transport to ensure equipment is delivered and collected from customers in a timely manner.
• Working with the sales team to provide leads and new opportunities.
• Maintain good communication with customers, and communicate effectively with other colleagues, providing a helpful and friendly point of contact for all depot enquiries.
Skills/Experience Required
• Experience in a customer service role, preferable within a hire/sales environment.
• Good customer skills with an excellent telephone manner.
• IT Literate - confident in using various systems.
• Keen eye for attention to detail when completing daily tasks/paperwork.
• Excellent organisational skills and the ability to work within a small team
Our ideal applicant will be a team player with a great can-do attitude, Prior knowledge of the hire industry advantageous but full training in products will be provided for the right candidate.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: From £21,840 to £26,700 per year
Monday to Friday 08:00 to 17:00
No bank holiday working
21 days holiday per year, increasing with years served, (max 25 days per year)
