Job summary

Lancashire & South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust in the North West is recruiting mental health professionals to train as High Intensity Therapists (HIT) in partnership with the University of Cumbria. The training is face‑to‑face at Lancaster, with two days per week at university and three days with clients in the team, delivering mainly face‑to‑face sessions with some remote work.

The posts are full‑time, fixed‑term for 12 months, commencing January 2027, with interview dates across September

Qualifications

• Registered or graduate-level qualification in mental health field (nursing, social work, OT, arts therapy or psychological therapy).
• Must meet BABCP Knowledge Skills and Attitudes (KSA) requirements.
• Experience in mental health services and ability to meet targets.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high quality psychological therapies with commitment to CBT.
• Manage own caseload and meet service targets.
• Participate in training and university assignments for HIT pathway.
