Support the Registered Nursing staff in providing assistance and personal care for patients within St Cross Hospital, Rugby.

Responsibilities / Route Available
  • NO previous Healthcare experience: Trainee Health and Care Support Worker (HCSW) – 75% of a Band 2 – £18,348+ enhancements. As a trainee HCSW you will study a level 2 health and social care related qualification alongside your working role.
  • Provide assistance and personal care to patients under supervision as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Support delivery of high quality patient-centred care in line with Trust values.
Eligibility and Requirements
  • You must be aged 16 or over.
  • Be a resident in the UK/EEA for the last three years.
  • Must NOT be in any form of formal government-funded education.
  • Please note that sponsorship is not available for this post.
  • Successful applicants will be placed on a waiting list until a suitable vacancy becomes available in the Trust.
Recruitment Centre

If your application is shortlisted, you will be invited to attend a Recruitment Centre. This session is designed to show what it’s like to be a healthcare assistant and to demonstrate how you would provide quality care to patients and their families. The Recruitment Centre will involve a basic literacy test and, if successful, you will proceed to an interview. If you are successful at interview but there isn’t a current vacancy that meets your needs, we will stay in touch and update you as jobs arise. If we are unable to allocate you to a role, your application will be withdrawn.
