Salary: £33,550 - £38,341
Contract: Permanent (Full Time)

Working hours: 37 hours, Monday to Friday

What we're looking for?

We have an exciting opportunity for a Trainee/Graduate Estates Surveyor to join our small but busy Estates Team. This role offers practical experience and career development towards becoming a Chartered Surveyor.

The role involves supporting the Estates Team with land and property-related matters. A degree in real estate, property, land, or a similar field is desirable. An experienced mentor will guide you through your training, sharing knowledge and expertise.

You should have a passion for building a career as a Surveyor and a desire to achieve a professional qualification (RICS/CAAV).

  • Manage your workload and support land and easement acquisitions for gas network projects.
  • Coordinate with external land agents for negotiations on easements, land acquisitions, and disposals.
  • Oversee instructions to solicitors for legal land and easement work through to completion.
  • Maintain accurate records of property ownership, easements, leases, and land rights.
  • Review operational property leases to ensure compliance and proper rent payments.
You’ll Need To Have
  • Strong IT skills and record-keeping abilities.
  • Ability to handle a varied workload and respond to numerous enquiries.
  • An understanding of legal principles related to easements and land rights.
  • Good communication skills for effective coordination.
  • A full UK Driving Licence for site visits.
Desirable
  • Experience with mapping systems like ESRI GIS.
  • Experience in a similar role and an interest in professional qualifications (RICS/CAAV).
