Job description

Opportunity for a civil engineering or mechanical engineering graduate to join the Northamptonshire-based design department of an international company with offices worldwide, established for many years.

You will utilize your structural engineering knowledge to develop scheme designs using bespoke construction and structural engineering equipment, primarily for temporary works in large UK projects.

Initially, you will learn to interpret engineering drawings from clients and develop solutions for constructing structures with the company's extensive range of engineering equipment. You will also be involved in drafting construction drawings and coordinating with the warehouse to ensure correct equipment delivery to site.

This role offers a valuable entry point into the construction engineering sector for recent graduates or those who have completed relevant higher education. It provides exposure to design, estimation, project management, and site visits to see your designs in practice.

Applicants should have studied a related discipline such as civil, structural, or mechanical engineering, and have basic experience with AutoCAD and reading engineering drawings. Knowledge of statics and dynamics would be highly desirable.
