Trainee Fire Extinguisher Technician - North West

Join us as a Trainee and build a career in fire safety. You will develop hands-on skills in fire extinguisher maintenance, inspection, and testing—crucial knowledge for the fire safety industry.

During the first six months, you will receive industry-leading training delivered by our expert team. This includes classroom-based learning and practical, on-the-job experience at client sites. You will be mentored by an experienced Engineer and enrolled in a specialist industry course to become BS 5306 qualified.

Responsibilities
  • The primary objective is to develop the skills and knowledge to become a fully qualified Fire Extinguisher Technician
  • Work alongside experienced Fire Extinguisher Technicians to gain hands-on experience
  • Develop and maintain professional relationships with a diverse client base to high standards
  • Communicate clearly with customers about the status and condition of fire safety equipment
  • Collaborate with Service Administrators to meet customer requirements and service expectations
  • Manage, care for, and secure vehicle stock, tools, and equipment
  • Demonstrate a positive attitude toward training and development and perform duties with professionalism
  • Flexibility to travel and stay overnight may be required during peak periods and training
Requirements
Essential Professional Experience
  • Possession of a full UK driving licence
  • Willingness and flexibility to travel for work and training
Desirable Professional Experience
  • Previous experience with mechanical fire protection systems (e.g., sprinklers, suppression)
  • Technical background in the mechanical fire safety industry
  • Experience in a customer-facing role with strong interpersonal and communication skills
